Charles Wayne Properties Sells Port Orange Site to Vystar Credit Union
Gateway Financial Holdings of Florida, Inc. recently sold approximately 2.6 acres at the northeast corner of Dunlawton Ave. and Oak Street in Port Orange to Jacksonville based Vystar Credit Union.
Gateway Bank of Florida, a related entity to the seller, opened a Port Orange branch at 3741 S. Nova Rd. in 2007, at which point the site at Dunlawton Ave. and Oak St. became surplus.
“Financial institutions such as Gateway, Vystar, Space Coast Credit Union and others are targeting Port Orange’s Dunlawton corridor for new expansion in the Daytona region,” said Ted Lightman of Charles Wayne Properties, who handled the transaction for Gateway.
Lightman adds, “Port Orange has become an important location for financial, retail, and other business in the Daytona area. It’s a commercial destination where growing businesses need to be. Port Orange has seen a great deal of brick and mortar expansion, led by commercial construction near the I-95 interchange and other locations along Dunlawton Ave.”
The Dunlawton Ave. corridor has been one of the most dynamic retail and commercial thoroughfares in all of Volusia County, with national and regional chains including BJ’s Wholesale, WaWa, LA Fitness, and more targeting this area as the retail location of choice in the greater Daytona Beach market.
The buyer, Vystar Credit Union, was represented by Carl Lentz, of Realty Pros Assured.
