Skip’s Boots Moving To New Megastore On International Speedway Boulevard

Skip Patsos, Owner of Skip’s Boots just completed the purchase of a 23,500+ sf retail building located in the Best Buy shopping center directly across from the legendary Daytona International Speedway.

Skip’s new Megastore will be a landmark development as part of the gateway to Daytona Beach, FL near the crossroad of I-95 and I-4. The destination is home to the “World’s Most Famous Beach” and is at the doorstep to the third-largest consumer region in the United States with approximately 17 million people. Skip’s will join other national retailers targeting the area including Bass Pro Shops, Cobb Theatres and the exclusive Marriott Autograph Collection hotel. The premier location will allow Skip to develop his dream store, creating a regional draw that will attract shoppers from as far away as Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando, and Miami and draw on millions of tourists visiting Daytona Beach during special events.

 
Steven Costa and the late Tom Corso of Charles Wayne Properties, Inc. were the sole brokers in the transaction. “I can’t wait to see how Skip develops this trophy property. Mainstreet Community Bank Florida provided the financing for the property at price of $1,499,000 or $63.79 per square foot. The property had been vacated by OfficeMax and was purchased from a financial institution earlier this year by a group of local investors who engaged Charles Wayne Properties to sell the property.

Skip plans on creating a destination inside the store that will allow shoppers to travel back in time and experience an old west town while browsing through the many brands that Skip’s carries.
