New Uses Planned for Former New Smyrna Beach Auto Dealership
NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL. The former Mullinax Ford automobile dealership property located at 1307 N. Dixie Freeway in New Smyrna Beach was sold on January 12.
The buyer is Vanacore Construction, Inc., which paid $900,000 for the property. The seller was MMR Holdings, LLC, of McLean, Va. Brian Adair and Ted Lightman of Charles Wayne Properties were the sole brokers in the transaction.
The sale includes a 7,500-square-foot sales building as well as a 12,630-square-foot service facility on approximately 3.93 acres of land. The new owner has plans to repurpose portions of the former dealership for vehicle storage, including boat storage. This plan takes advantage of the site’s proximity to the City of New Smyrna’s Swoope Public Boat Ramp which opened last year just over a mile from the 1307 N. Dixie property.
The property is located within New Smyrna Beach’s newly approved Community Redevelopment Area. The CRA is expected to generate about $15 million for improvements along the US-1 corridor over the next 20 years.
Charles Wayne Properties, Inc. is one of Central Florida’s largest commercial brokerage, management and development firms with approximately 1,800,000 sq. ft. of property, which it owns, manages and/or leases.
